It's a bit crazy to realize that we are already at the end of the first month of the new year! Yikes!!

The good news is that it is time for our first annual sale of 2026 :) Yep! It's that lovely time again where we work extra hard and you get a sweet deal from the Apothecary! Yay :)

We always like to sneak some personal Apothecary news into our sale newsletter which makes us contemplate a bit what's most upfront in our lives at the time of the sale...

On the homestead front, we are deep into soil building with leaves, wood chips and mushroom compost. We are also building a living fence (with plants that deer like to nibble on but we don't mind a bit) around our actual fence line to strengthen its boundary. So many medicinals are not attractive to deer and other nibblers and that gives us extra room to plant them outside and away from the more edibles.

We also invited a new member to the Apothecary: Corinna is a long-term friend of Rupam's. They met while working Farmers Markets in the Bay Area and Cori ended up following Rupam to the Sierra Foothills about 3 years ago. She works one day a week on the farm/homestead part of the business, helping to create lovely herbal allies for our remedies.

As you know we have added Glycerites to our inventory to have medicine available to kids and anyone sensitive to a remedy with a high alcohol content. The glycerites were so well received this year that we completely sold out of California Poppy glycerite. Nada, kaput, all gone until spring. We will definitely make much more in the future!

We are still fully stocked with California Poppy tincture and will not run out before the new harvest.

The new batch of Salves will also not be ready for the sale but the moment it comes back online, we will sell it with a 10% sale sticker for a couple of weeks. Please check the website at the middle of the month!
