Calendula Salve

Calendula salve is known to be an "all-heal" for most skin conditions. With its antifungal and antibacterial properties, it soothes irritations and inflammations, heals skin blemishes and is especially suited to healing open wounds.

This calendula salve is the perfect companion to Swedish Bitters. External application of the Bitters may dry out the skin, and calendula salve will moisturize the skin and prevent irritation.

Toothsoap

This product is an excellent alternative to toothpaste. Glycerin, a main ingredient in virtually all toothpastes, is a substance that is very sticky, coats the teeth while brushing and is very difficult to rinse off the teeth….preventing re-enamelization. I find Toothsoap to be a much better alternative to toothpaste.

When we eat, our mouth becomes an acid environment, acting as the first digestive organ before food enters into the stomach. It will take 30-40 minutes before our mouth turns back into a more alkaline state…the state that counteracts bacteria attacking the enamel. When the mouth is acidic, the enamel is in a softer state and more at risk from cavities and the danger of damaging the enamel/dentin while brushing; wait for 40 minutes after food before brushing; rinse your mouth vigorously with water right afer eating instead. It will speed up the process to the more alkaline state as well as remove food that has become lodged between your teeth. A water pick is another option for removing food, especially if you or your child are in braces. Using an electric toothbrush, like the Sonicare, is another excellent choice and the Toothsoap will not clog the brush as normal toothpaste will. Toothsoap is used extremely sparingly - 1 drop on a wet toothbrush - and using a 45 degree angle into the gums massage/brush the gum line in a circular motion with bristles firmly pressed into the gums. Avoid any excessive scrubbing motion unless you are brushing the biting surface of your teeth, away from the gums. Please use only a soft toothbrush; anything harder is likely to damage gums, dentin or enamel.

Floss daily or at least every other day to prevent gum disease and decay between teeth! Toothsoap will help kill bacteria in exsisting gum pockets as well as reduce the bacterial load in the mouth. Flower essences known to strengthen gum and bone health as well as hardening the enamel have been added. Toothsoap comes with added essential oils of either Peppermint, Spearmint or Cinnamon.
